We are excited to share that Environment Day was held both virtually and with a optional small group gathering at Great Bay Discovery Center! On Wednesday September 16th, Cameron Wake, Research Associate Professor at UNH kicked off the virtual session with an overview of regional climate change and shared his insights on how we can build sustainable communities and reduce our carbon footprints. The morning continued with presentations from Andrea Amico from Testing for Pease and Mike Behrmann from Clean Energy NH. The conversation then shifted to exploring on our estuaries and featured Steve Weglarz Jr. from CedarPoint Oysters and Trevor Mattera from Piscataqua Regional Estuaries Partnership. On Wednesday September 23rd, members of the Class of 2020 gathered at the Great Bay Discovery Center to hear from Melissa Paly, Great Bay-Piscataqua Waterkeeper.
